What do my clients say about working with me?

My parents taught me when I was young to treat other people the way I’d like to be treated. 

I thank them for encouraging me to treat everyone with respect, no matter what someone looks like or where they come from. Everyone has value. 

Even when it’s not reciprocated, at least I know that I did my part in attempting to nurture that relationship.

I strongly believe that developing mutual respect is a cornerstone to any beneficial relationship and should be considered a necessity in business. On the phone or in person, my goal is to always serve on a high level.  Whether that means delivering valuable information or simply listening to your thoughts or concerns, my goal has never been to “sell” anything.

I’ve reinvested tens of thousands of dollars in my education because I believe that knowledge truly is power.  In fact, I’ve been driven not just to learn but to implement what I learn as quickly and efficiently as possible.  At an early age, I realized that learning and doing are two completely different things.  Just like driving a car, you could know all of the rules of the road, but if you don’t also recognize the way things happen on the street, you could still end up getting hit even if it wasn’t technically your fault.

That’s why I’ve learned to pay especially close attention to what the other person is saying in our conversation for two reasons.  First, they may very well know a lot more about a subject that I may lack knowledge or experience in, so I could have the chance to glean something new.  Second, if they indicate that they are experiencing a challenge that I know how to overcome, I want to gift them whatever knowledge I can to help them overcome and avoid setbacks.  This is one of the reasons I chose finance as a career path.

Almost everyone I speak with wants to know my views on investments and how to get the highest yielding return. 

I get it. 

The answer to that question drove me in a lot of different directions over my earlier the years.  I’ve grown to learn that the answer comes not in the form of a thing you buy or a product or service you subscribe to, rather it can be the result of steadily building on a foundation of security and strength.  With that in mind, I guide clients to first plan for the worst in order to live their best lives now and build their future wealth without losing sleep.

In that way, despite the fact that I am licensed to offer various financial services, it’s not a “sales job” to me any more than your primary care physician thinks of themselves as a “salesperson”.

Unfortunately, my Father passed away over a decade ago which was way before his time. Even in death, he thought of his family first and fulfilled his goals: paying off our family homestead, settling all of his debts including vehicles and credits cards. He even left behind enough to take care of his final expenses. He is my inspiration for serving your family now.

We Thank God everyday that he was prepared for the worst. Dad lived his life to the fullest, as if every day was his last. I didn't realize it at the time, but he taught me how to plan for the worst, even if it seems unnecessary.

There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of my Father fondly. How completely selfless his decision was to protect my Mother from losing everything; the house, the cars, etc. Everything was taken care of.

We know without question that he loved us more than we could have known at the time. Families you know will be torn apart this year by heart attack, cancer, stroke, overdose, diabetes, or other health issues.

For whomever you love most,

don't wait until it's too late.
